Practical information:

• Food and accommodation will be provided by the Foundation free of charge.
• Travel: There is a small budget allocated by the Foundation to help a limited number of scholars with travel, therefore we kindly ask that, where possible, scholars find alternate sources of funding to cover their travel expenses.

About accommodation at "Les Treilles" (from their website: http://www.les-treilles.com/contact-us/conditions-for-accomodations/):

"Guests are lodged in a number of houses spread out over the estate, the closest to the “Grande Maison” only a couple of minutes away. Cars are available to reach more remote houses (up to two kilometres following the road), but walking remains by far the most agreeable means of transport.

Each house has between one and three rooms with a shower or bathroom, one or two kitchens particularly intended for breakfast. There are telephones, but not yet Internet connection everywhere. Each guest will find the necessary household linen and, in accordance with the express wish of the founder, a torch and an umbrella.

The Foundation provides an environment which frees its guests from every-day worries and in return asks that they take good care of the surroundings and any material provided.

The essential peace and quiet of the property has a single disadvantage: it is at a distance from a number of services.

In order to move around the property in comfort, shoes with heels are not recommended and for hikers walking shoes will prove very useful.

Getting there:

• From Marseille airport: Highway A8, exit Le Luc, head of Lorgues, exit Salernes direction, cross Salernes and head towards Flayosc, before Flayosc, take a left  on the D77 heading north towards Tourtour.Once on the D77 heading north, the road to "les Treilles", heading east, to the right, off the D77, is indicated by a signpost.

• From the airport of Hyères-Toulon: A57 motorway, exit Le Cannet, for Le Thoronet and Lorgues. After Lorgues, keep on the D10 until it meets the D557, take the D557 towards Flayosc (east).  Before Flayosc, take a left  on the D77 heading north towards Tourtour. Once on the D77 heading north, the road to "les Treilles", heading east, to the right, off the D77, is indicated by a signpost.

• From the train station in Les Arcs-Draguignan: take direction Vidauban and Lorgues. After Lorgues, keep on the D10 until it meets the D557, take the D557 towards Flayosc (east).  Before Flayosc, take a left  on the D77 heading north towards Tourtour. Once on the D77 heading north, the road to "les Treilles", heading east, to the right, off the D77, is indicated by a signpost.

The closest one can get to "Les Treilles" via public transport is to the train station in Les Arcs-Draguignan. "Les Treilles" are a ~30min drive from the station.

We can consider coordinating car-pooling from the train station in Les Arcs-Draguignan closer to the time, if people are interested.
